Fire Code Policy

Edwards YMCA Camp Fire Code Policies

• All campfires will be built and lit by an Edwards YMCA Camp Staff member.
• No Accelerates (Gasoline, Kerosene, White Gas, diesel, etc), Gunpowder, Fireworks, or rocket engines are allowed to be added to the fire.
• The size of the camp fire will be limited to maximum height of 4 feet from base of fire.
• Torches will be limited to self-extinguishing Tiki Torch style.
• All grills and outdoor fireplaces will be 10 feet away from nearest cabin.
• No ground fires are allowed in the cabin area.
• All coals will be placed in the burn barrel at the end of weekend.
• No Smoking in all camp buildings.
