Private/Semi-Private Lessons

Private lessons are for individuals. Semi-Private lessons are for 2 individuals with similar swimming skills. Each lesson is 30 minutes in length. Lesson request forms are located at the front desk. Upon receiving your form, a phone call will be made to match you with an instructor. Payment is due when a lesson time and day is given. Please be aware there is a possibility of being on a wait list. Matches will not be made by the YMCA. All instructors are YSL or WSI certified. Any questions contact lrudie@elginymca.org.
 

Private Fee:

Member: 5 lessons/$105, 7 lessons/$135

Program Participant: 5 lessons/$158, 7 lessons/$203

Semi-Private Fee:

Member: 5 lessons/$60 per person, 7 lessons/$80 per person

Program Participant: 5 lessons/$120 per person, 7 lessons/ $160 per person

Small Group Private Lessons

Small Group Private lessons are for 3-4 individuals with similar swimming skills. Beginner to Advanced swimmers are welcome. You may make your own group of similar swimming skills or goals such as Triathlons, preparation for ARC Lifeguard Class, etc. Each lesson is 45-minutes in length and time of lesson will be decided by group and instructor. Private lesson request forms can be located at the front desk. Upon receiving your form a phone call will be made to match you with an instructor. Payment is due when a lesson time and day is given. Please be aware there is a possibility of being on a wait list. All instructors are WSI or YSL certified. Matches will not be made by the YMCA but we will attempt to find group placement when available.

Fee: Member: 5 lessons/$50, 7 lessons/$65 (per person)

Program Participant: 5 lessons/$100, 7 lessons/$130 (per person)

Adult Swim Lessons

Never learned to swim? Terrified of water? Want to improve your swimming skills? This special class will help adults overcome their fears, learn to develop some basic swimming skills, and refine current skills. Everyone is welcome from beginner to advanced.

Scuba Diving

Learn to SCUBA dive with the Sea Lions Dive Center! Upon completion of five class/pool nights and two days of open water training, you will receive the P.A.D.I. Open Water certification. A certified instructor will teach you safe diving techniques, correct operation of SCUBA gear and other skills necessary to making you a safe diver.
